The last time a DPL session was held at Steve Seman’s house was on May 3rd, the 2nd game went on for what seemed like an eternity. This is in large part due to the fact that the underdog in the All-In hands seemed to catch cards and pull out the winning hand, with a large volume of those winning on the river. Steve was able to knock off Bob Burtschi and win his 1st DPL game on that Sunday in May. Fast forward to the August 16 session at the same venue, and you would find Steve in a heads up battle against David Kates. Steve was able to take out the younger of the two Kates rather quickly to win the 2nd game of the August 16th session and his 2nd DPL win of the season.
Wait a minute, I almost forgot, the son of Steve Seman, Steve C. Seman, took care of business in the first game. He was able to earn his 2nd DPL win of the season by outlasting John Barry. As commissioner of the DPL, I move to only allow one Steve Seman to play in the league. This is getting confusing, anyone else agree? Seriously, the August 16th session, was won by Steve and Steve C., like father like son.
Had you been at the August 16th session, you would have understood that there is something about players getting lucky on the river. It was the same back in May when we played at Steve’s, so the DPL has official dubbed Steve’s house as “Steve’s River House on the Lake”. Sounds like a restaurant I would eat at, well……. |
