All poker players know that when you run good, you run good, but it can go the other direction just as fast. The 2nd session of the 2010 DPL season was another great day of poker. One of the newest members, Mike Patterson was able to take down the other 13 players to take the win in the 1st game of the February 2010 session. Mike took down the 2009 DPL Runner Up, Chad Haynes, in heads up play. Along with Mike and Chad, the others two finishers in the top 4 were Terry Wolpert and Aric Lee. New members to 2010 were three of the top four finishers in game one. The new members brought it in game one, but can they maintain it for game two.
The new members appeared to be on pace to make a deep run for the 2nd game, but once they got to the final table, they went out in 9th, 8th, and 7th. Just prior to the merge to the final table, Bobby Harrison sucked out on the river to eliminate myself (2008 DPL Champion). The huge pot was enough to allow Bobby to play a much more free game at the final table, and when he got pocket
against two others, he was able to ride his stack to heads up play against Bob Burtschi. Both Bobby and Bob, each had one win under their belts in their DPL careers, and when Bobby got
and Bob decided to gamble with his
, Bobby became a two time winner on the DPL. Rounding out the top four for game two was Steve Larry and David Kates.
