The June session was here I was ready to play some poker.  Since taking the leading in the standings, I was hoping to extend that lead.  Terry Wolpert was present for the June session after missing the May session at John's.  Terry was leading the league in points earlier in the year, so I'm sure he was hoping to get back in the mix.  Game 1 began with because it is usually right.  So early in the first game, after Chad made a pre-flop raise, I looked down at and made the call.  Krystall also made the call after me, so there wwere three of us going to the flop.  When the flop came out , Chad lead out and bet, I made the call, and Krystal made the call.  The turn brought a .  Chad lead out and bet, I quickly called, and Krystal eventually made the call.  The River brought a .  Chad checked, I went all-in, Krystal folded.  After pondering, Chad made the call.  Before I turned my set of 4's over, Chad said, "Please tell me, you don't have a set?"  I'm guessing he should have listened to his gut again, as he showed .  I was able to ride the extra chips from Chad, and others I knocked out along the way to get heads-up against Mike.  After a back and forth battle of raises and folds, I looked down at and raised pre-flop.  Mike pushed all-in, and I thought I was up against two overs, but soon found out that Mike had .  The board did not bring a miracle for me and Mike took down game 1, which had 12 players.  Other than Mike and myself, the others in the top 4 were Krystal and Bob W.

Game two started with 12 players, just like game 1.  Some players, Tom, David, Keith, and Chad, could not catch cards all day or they just got unlucky.  Poker is a game of swings, your runnning good one moment, and not the next.  Britt continues to run good, like when he called Keith's all-in with against Keith's , and Britt spiked a on the flop to eliminate Keith from game 2.  Keith has proven over the years, that though he doesn't start off well, he grinds out the tough beats and flurishes at the end.  Britt took Keith's chips and continued to pick up chips on his way to heads up play against Bob Burtschi.  When Bob and Britt started heads-up play, Britt had a huge chip lead, but when Britt and Bob went all-in a couple of times, Bob just had Britt out kicked.  This helped Bob gain the chip lead.  Again, Britt moved all in, and after a small thinking period Bob made the call.  Bob flipped over and was leading against Britt's .  When the board didn't show any paint, Bob took down his 2nd win on the DPL.  Bob's last win was in 2009.  Other than Bob and Britt, the others in the top 4 were Mike and myself.
