The March session took place on one of the year's daylight savings time days.  The question was, "Was anyone going to be late due to the time change or would we get started on time?"  We started at just a few minutes past the noon start time.

The first game was underway with 15 players.  Early action showed the Sturgeon method of gathering early chips was working as usual for Britt Sturgeon, but was not working for Krystal.

Britt was able to make it heads up play against Chad and was in the lead with against Chad's .  When the board hit , Chad was hoping for another 7, but a and did not help.  Britt (Cub fan, clothing gave it away) took down game one of the two game March session.  Other than Britt and Chad, the others in the top 5 were Keith, Tom, and Terry.

The early circuit was going to be decided at the end of the session.  Starting game two Terry still had the lead, the lead he has had since the first game of the season.  There were a lot of poosible outcomes for the early circuit, but for anyone to beat Terry, Terry would have to finish outside the top three (3).  With Terry out of the game early, Britt, Steve Larry, or myself would have to finish 1st or 2nd to take the circuit title.

Game two started with 15 players, just like game 1.  Dad (John) was looking to change his ways on the Decatur Poker League and beagn to build a nice chip stack in the early goings of game two (2).  Just before the final table was set Dad had made a great play to get Keith and Krystal all-in.  When the cards were flipped, Keith had , Krystal had ,and Dad showed .  The flop came , the turn , and the river .  Keith was able to triple up through Krystal and Dad, but Dad was able to knock out Krystal.  Keith did appoligize for his fortune.

When play got down to five (5), Dad was starting to get low on chips after doubling up Tom.  Dad made a pre-flop raise to $24,000 when the blinds were at $4,000/$8,000 and Tom went all-in dark for $12,000.  When action came back to me, I looked down at , not enough of a hand to call $16,000 more, figure Dad for two (2) overs.  When the hand was finished, Tom took down the hand with a 8 high straight, while holding , and Dad lost with .  Had Dad not raised pre-flop, I would have been in the hand and made a 9 high straight and Tom would have been knocked out.  However, Tom made it to heads up play against myself.

I needed to win the 2nd game to take the early circle, just barely nipping Terry's total.  Only a few hands into heads up play, I limped with , and Tom checked.  The flop came .  I bet and Tom then went all-in.  I looked at the board and put Tom on a big Ace or two pair  With having the nut flush draw and a gut-shot straight draw, I decided to gamble.  After making the call, I found out the Tom held .  I needed to catch one of 12 outs ().  The turn brought a , which now gave me three more outs () and a total of 15 outs.  With having 15 outs, I was still unable to catch the winning card on the river .  Though I still had chips, Tom (Cub fan, again, clothing gave it away) put me all-in on the next hand and his held up against my .  Other than Tom and myself, the others in the top 5 were Pat, Britt, and Dad (John).
